I learned a new word this week, “Localvore” meaning someone who adheres to a local diet. A localvore only eats food grown within a specific nearby area, buying fresh, usually organic produce directly from farmers and small businesses. I’m doing my best these days to make sure anything I need or consume is from a local business and become a Localvore. Has anyone else heard this term before and decided to become one recently? How has it been going?
Also, I’m excited to share that I’m hosting my first virtual sustainability 101 course next Thursday called “The Sustainable Human Workshop!” This is going to be a bit of a trial run so the exchange will be half price for this edition and I only have space for 5 peeps because I want to make it small and interactive. A few of topics we’ll go over are: the UN sustainable development goals, how to incorporate sustainability into your own life, and innovations from around the world. Link is in our bio to join and I’m so excited for next Thursday! 💚🌱
